Description

1v1 and small teams map designed for Zero-K, based on DeadLands. 2.0 is in the spirit of the original, now with significant enhancements.

Changes from v1.xx:
-Starting metal spots reduced from 4 to 3, bringing it in line with typical ZK maps.

-The map has been completely repainted in blender with all custom textures. It's not even fair to compare it to the old texture, although the theme has remained basically the same.

-Added a specular map so the golden metal spots now shine in the sun as you would expect.

-Replaced the old skybox with one that suits the map much better and adjusted the lighting to match. Also improved the lighting in general.

-Replaced the old default spring-features rocks with new custom rock features to match the newly repainted mountains, for a more natural and seamless appearance.

v2.01 update: Ok, I found out that the map (and some units) look way too bright with advanced map shading turned on (which I cannot see at all on my crappy intel graphics). I adjusted the lighting levels to hopefully compensate for this. If that turns out not to be good enough I'll do more thorough testing and release another minor update later.

update: It looks like the lighting settings for v2.01 should be good, and no more updates required for that. I may add normal maps for the mex graphics later on, but the current is perfectly playable and should behave correctly.

v2.02: Fixed artifacts on the specular map that looked wrong, added a normal map for the mountains, cliffs and metal spots, and added a terrain type map so the rock and grass/soil areas now behave as expected. Also made lighting adjustments to balance things better.

Added new screenshots with proper rendering.

v2.03 update: Removed skybox (was low quality, caused artifacts), adjusted unit lighting levels, fixed issue where units and features did not cast shadows. The low areas are now veh pathable so the map is now fully playable for veh.

Older Versions: If you pull v1.xx off of the autohosts please use v1.12, as that was the most stable.
