First you need to download the Spring engine to play this game.

Games for Spring are ".sd7" or ".sdz" files. To install this files move them into (Unix) ~/.spring/games
or (Windows) "My Documents\My Games\Spring\games".
Use the "Reload maps/games" option from the "Tools" menu in SpringLobby.

I'm getting this too. Win7 x64, ATI HD5770, AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition 3.4 Ghz.

Not sure why, does downgrading the spring engine fix it?

I'm having the same problem. BA 7.68 crashes after about 30 minutes.


Is Windows a problem?

Thanks for responding. Is the Spring engine unstable on windows? After some more testing at 1920x1080 and a slightly lower resolution too,(forgot which one), water set to bump mapped and also just simple and particles at half way mark in spring settings, I found that: BA crashes after an hour tops, Tech Annihilation will stay stable for nearly 3 hours, then crashes, Zero-k will go about 2 hours then crashes and The Cursed hasn't crashed yet, though I don't think I played much more than 2 hours of it. 1944 Market Garden doesn't work properly, (badly out of date though), same with Gundam and Eternal Struggle doesn't even start up.

My specs are: Win 7 64x SP1, 8 GB ram, I5 750 at 2.67 Ghz, Radeon HD 4890 1GB Ram

I'll try turning off particles completely but it's much less fun without them.

an issue

This game is amazing and I've been trying to play it, but it keeps crashing between 30 to 40 minutes in on single player games in Spring lobby 0.146 with engine ver. 88.0. Tried it with RAI and AAI, same. The Cursed and Zero- X work fine over longer games, it just seems to be BA that crashes.

I've played two hour games of BA and longer (version 7.68) on my modest hardware. I'm guessing you are on Windows, but you might try disabling particle effects to see if that helps you play for longer...
